At Hospice Huntsville volunteers are essential in everything that we do and the heart of our organization.  Volunteers can help clients and their caregivers as a Visiting Volunteer,  others join our Board of Directors or subcommittees, others help us raise the much needed funds that we need for our Capital Campaign and with our operations, programs and services.

Did you know.......... At our fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, 62 dedicated Hospice Huntsville volunteers donated over 3700 hours of their time by providing support and hospice related services to 116 individuals and their immediate families in our community as well as general administration, meetings, committee work and fundraising.

Becoming a Hospice Huntsville volunteer is easy!  If you have 3 hours a week, a month or even a year free to offer your time and skills to our organization, why not enquire today?  Volunteering for Hospice Huntsville is rewarding, however you choose to help. You get to make a real difference to our community as well as making new friends, learning new skills and also have the chance to serve as part of a dedicated team.  Our volunteers contribute many things, but the most precious of all is their time.

 Our Residential Hospice is now welcoming residents.  We are currently recruiting:  

  •  Front Desk Reception/Hostess Volunteers
  •  Kitchen Volunteers
  •  Indoor/Outdoor Building Maintenance
  •  Yard and Garden Volunteers 


  •  Special Events and Fundraising: Volunteer at our annual fundraising events and activities or assisting at third party events. 
    Currently recruiting: Committee members for Hospice Gala (March 24), Hike for Hospice (May 6) and Honda for Hospice Car Raffle.
  •  Subcommittee Member: Currently recruiting:  Members to join our fundraising committee and volunteer committee
  •  General Office Administration and Clerical Support: Working with our administrative team can include time spent filing, computer work, making telephone calls as well as working on special projects
  •  Public Relations
  •  IT/Website design
  • Visiting Volunteers
