HOSPICE HUNTSVILLE Board of Directors (Volunteer)

Hospice Huntsville is a registered, non-profit organization dedicated to providing consistent, comprehensive and compassionate end of life care to individuals, families and caregivers in the setting of their choice throughout the greater Huntsville area.

We have exciting opportunities on our Board of Directors and we are seeking to fill these positions with people who have the skills, passion and commitment to complement our current Board structure.

As a Hospice Huntsville board member, you will:
• Govern the affairs of the organization on behalf of its members; in good faith and in accordance with the bylaws, rules and regulations of the organization.
• Ability to maintain a voluntary position with a 3 year commitment; regular attendance at monthly board meetings.
• Join one standing committee per year at minimum, and willingness to participate in other HH events or meetings as needed.
• Be well informed about the activities and finances of the organization.
• Demonstrate Board governance experience in the health care sector
• Possess an understanding of palliative care services in this community and an interest in supporting our mission.
• Willingness to participate in Board orientation and Board to Board mentorship sessions.
