Where's The Boot? Social Media Photo Contest

Introducing the “Where’s the Boot?” social media photo contest, running from March 10 to March 31, 2025. Hospice Huntsville invites the community to participate in this fun contest by sharing photos on Facebook or Instagram featuring Purple Boots around our community.

How to Enter:

  • Snap photos of the Purple Boots displayed around Huntsville, Lake of Bays, Port Sydney, or the Almaguin Highlands.
  • Post the photo on your social media (Facebook or Instagram) and tag Hospice Huntsville.

The participant with the most Purple Boot photos taken at the different locations will win a gift certificate to Boston Pizza in Huntsville!

The Hike for Hospice is a nationwide event hosted by hospice and palliative care organizations. This event occurs annually on the first Sunday of May and kicks off National Palliative Care Week .
The Hike builds awareness and raises funds to ensure individuals and their family members, facing end of life situations receive support at no charge.
The hike is also a way to celebrate and honour our loved ones in a special and meaningful way.
100% of the funds raised by Hospice Huntsville stay in our community

We rely on fundraising & donation dollars to ensure our ongoing operations. With the incredible support of our community, we can continue to offer vital programs to support high-quality end of life care needs at no cost to recipients.

You! Whether it is a family member, friend, neighbour, co-worker or you…we will all need hospice at some point in our lives

NEW LOCATION!  Limberlost Forest & Wildlife Reserve
1002 Buck Lake Landing, Huntsville

Local musicians will be playing along the Hike routes, visit the adorable goats from Muskoka Goat Away , the Huntsville High School Robotics Club giving demonstrations with their award-winning robot: Bruce The Shark,  Hiker Photo Booth, BBQ lunch for all registered hikers after the Hike sponsored by the Dwight Lions Club and so much more

Hikers can choose from 3 different walking routes.  All routes beginning & ending at Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve.

We are delighted to have our friends from Lake of Bays Garden Centre supporting Hospice Huntsville again this year with the “Tulips for Hospice” fundraiser.

Purple Boot Campaign

Every Step Makes a Difference! 

The Purple Boot Campaign is an important source of income for Hospice Huntsville. These fabulous, symbolic purple boots can be seen at local businesses and organizations raising, not only funds, but also awareness for Hospice Huntsville.

Why Do We Need Your to Support the Purple Boot Campaign?

Annually, Hospice Huntsville must raise at least 60% or over $1,800/day, of its operating budget. Every donation we receive can continue to make a huge difference.

Donate to the 2023 Hospice Purple Boot Campaign

Auric Clothing Swap

Sunday May 28, 2023
Time: 2:00pm
Location: 1-171 Hutcheson Beach Rd

Between now and May 26th Auric Yoga Studio will be collecting used clothes for a clothing swap on the 28th! How it works is everyone drops off clean, gently used clothing (shoes and accessories too)

They will size and sort it all and on the 28th at 2pm those who donated get to go shopping! 

To participate they are collecting donations for the Hospice Huntsville on the day of the event.

There will be refreshments and the event will be limited at 30 people. At this time we are doing women’s clothes only.
